Materials, Sizes & Personalization

Compare LifyCraft material families, sizing rules and personalization options before requesting a standard or custom production project.

Choose around the finished use

Material, size and personalization work together.

The instant custom-order builder is intentionally limited to simple, single-layer shapes in 3 mm unfinished birch plywood. Other materials and production details use manual review so suitability can be checked before purchase.

  • Tell us where and how the finished piece will be used
  • Share the longest-side measurement and expected quantity
  • Describe holes, engraving, wording, layers or mixed variants
  • Ask for a recommendation when the material is not yet decided

Material families shown are project options, not a guarantee that every design is suitable for every material or thickness.
Material families

Start with the visual and functional requirement.

These are material families already represented in LifyCraft production and catalog work. Exact color, thickness, stock and cut suitability are confirmed for the requested project.

Unfinished birch plywood

The standard website material. A pale natural surface for painting, staining, lettering, layering and unfinished craft use. Natural grain and tone vary.

Instant pricing: simple 3 mm single-layer silhouettes

Clear acrylic

A transparent sheet option for displays, craft blanks, guides and projects where light transmission or a clean clear edge matters.

Manual review: thickness, finish and protective film

Colored acrylic

Opaque or transparent color families, including white and black options, for stronger visual contrast and consistent surface color.

Manual review: current colors and stock

Acrylic mirror

A lightweight reflective option for decorative shapes, mosaics and display details where real glass is not required.

Manual review: face direction, adhesive and handling

Personalization

Define what changes from the base design.

Personalization is reviewed as part of the physical product. Fine details may need to be enlarged, simplified, engraved or moved to keep the piece production-ready.

Names, dates and wording

Cut-through or engraved text can be reviewed for letter size, spacing and structural support.

Custom dimensions

Specify the finished longest side or both dimensions when proportion must not change.

Hanging and assembly holes

Share hole count, location and intended use so edge distance and diameter can be reviewed.

Engraved details

Lines, labels and decorative detail may work better as engraving than as separate cut areas.

Layers and coordinated sets

Multiple compatible pieces can be reviewed as a layered design or matching project set.

Mixed sizes or variants

List each required size, wording or design variation with the quantity for that version.

Material and customization questions

These answers keep broad capability claims from becoming unsuitable production promises.

Can every shape be made in every material?

No. Small bridges, sharp details, holes, unsupported areas and the final use can change what is practical. We review the design and material together.

Can you copy a shape from any photograph?

Many clear references can be redrawn, but perspective, missing edges, fine detail and usage rights may prevent an exact result. A final production outline is confirmed before non-standard work proceeds.

Are colors and thicknesses always available?

No. Acrylic colors, finishes and sheet thicknesses depend on current stock and project requirements. Availability is confirmed during review.

Where do I send a non-standard request?

Use the manual project review and include the reference, dimensions, quantity, material preference and intended use.
